Pumpkinoid Pumpkinoid is another 'Dundee Jam', game. I started with a simple toy. A bouncing ball, and a fairly solid collision system. I decided to try a remake of an old game by Grant Jaquest called 'Cubitoid', but it morphed into something else while I was writing it. I was expecting someone on the day to do levels for me, but nobody turned up, so I had to do them myself. That meant that I didn't have time to add as much in as I had hoped, or to experiment with what types of screens worked and what didn't, since I had to actually code the thing as well! The result is therefore a fairly short and very varied little sketch. It's actually quite a solid little concept. It's simple, yet at the same time feels original. It's part 'Wizball', part 'Jet Set Willy', part 'Cubitoid'. I'd say it has potential to be a quirky, simple little full game in the future, I may well go back to it. So as always, I'm open to suggestions. |

Build me a Baby inc. The idea was to take all the click work out of the 'click management' genre, and just concentrate on the plate spinning and memory aspects. The result is unfortunately a very difficult game that does your head in after about a minute of play! I was quite amused that everyone said that I needed to add in tools so the machines could remember a stack of choices for you, because the original intention was that this was the challenge posed to the player. And everyone who played it wanted it automated! Some concepts work, some don't. This one didn't, but here it is anyway, if you fancy a total headscrew! |

Panic Factory Panic Factory is a Panic Dizzy Remake (or is that Dizzy Panic Remake)? Either way, it was a game which came out on various formats, and was one of the more overlooked of the Dizzy games, probably because it didn't have a lot to do with the rest of the series... It was a fun and simple little puzzle game, and it's very easy to play. Just use the arrow buttons or your cursor keys to move the shape strip, matching it with the falling shapes. Best of all, you can play this one in your web browser, and it should even work on your Wii! |

Vegetable Soup Tactics Veg Soup Tactics was made as part of the legendary 'Dundee Jam', a day long event for game design enthusiasts, professionals and hobbyists to make a small game whilst being guided by a driving theme. In this case, the theme was 'Survive'. It's a physics-driven Match-3 vegetable based soup pot simulator. Seriously, give it a go, it's a good laugh. Then why not nip over to the Dundee Jam website to have a look at some of the other great submissions.
